The working location is at 15th Avenue & Granville Street, Vancouver, BC. We offer a competitive salary, excellent employer paid group benefits, and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan. The salary range is $22.44 to $28.05 per hour.

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to perform reception duties and respond to general enquiries from a variety of external sources.
- Receive and redirect telephone calls on multi-line telephone system as well as in person visitors.
- Process internal and external mail, email and fax communications. Use a postage machine and run regular reports for Accounting.
- Collate and process Meals on Wheels billing and invoicing. Enter donation information, maintain records, and generate reports. Enter and process accounts payables in Accpac/Sage Accounting software and issue cheques for signatures. Prepare weekly deposits and reports, manage office petty cash system.
- Gather and compile information for statistical purposes. Assist in monthly reconciliations. As required provide support for Meals on Wheels Programs regarding client and volunteer needs.
- Provide fundraising and event support by participating in preparation, operation and finalization of events. Maintain Raiser's Edge to ensure donor database is updated and accurate. Create monthly reports and generate queries to support fundraising initiatives.
- Support the orderly management of the physical office by monitoring and coordinating cleaning, security, telephone systems, ordering supplies, arranging for repairs and maintenance and monitoring office coverage.
What you need:
- High school graduation supplemented by post-secondary training in business systems, office systems, accounting courses or a related field.
- Two or more years recent related general office experience.
- Experience in customer service/working with the public.
- Demonstrated computer and keyboarding skills at 50 wpm. Proficient computer skills with MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Accpac/Sage. Database management experience, with Raiser's Edge an asset.
- Demonstrated competency in written and oral English. Proven organizational, planning and coordinating skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and set priorities. Ability to follow directions and work independently. Ability to operate related equipment and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
